CoinSpot now requires email confirmations when sending coins
23th April 2014, by RussellTo make sure we providing a secure platform to all of our customers and fellow crypto currency followers we have added a security enhancement to the way you send coins from your CoinSpot wallets.
Each time you send coins from your CoinSpot wallet you will get an email confirming the details of the withdrawal, the amount of coins, the address and the type of coin. In order for CoinSpot to process the send request and send the coins you will need to click on confirm in the email. If you don't click on confirm the coins will not be sent.
This helps everyone in a couple of key ways. Firstly it gives you a second chance to confirm the details of the coins you are sending, as we all know if you send coins to the wrong address you can't get them back, there is no undo button. Secondly it provides a security mechanism in that if a attacker was able to breach your CoinSpot account they would not be able steal your coins unless they also breached your email account, if your email password and CoinSpot password are the same now is a good time change one of them and make sure they are different.
